Ireland in thrilling T20 win over Scotland

Ireland have emerged from a dramatic finale in their match against Scotland with a one-run win and overall victory in the T20 tri-series.

Scotland, chasing a target of 187 in Malahide, required 15 runs from the final over, and three with one ball to go, or two to take the contest to a super over.

They fell just short as only a single was registered before Craig Wallace was run out by Ireland captain Gary Wilson.

Kevin O'Brien had top-scored for Ireland with 63 as the hosts made 9-186 after being put in.

Scotland's reply of 6-185 included 76 from skipper Richie Berrington, who struck five sixes and seven fours in his 43-ball knock, and an unbeaten 66 from Matthew Cross.

Ireland finish the series with 10 points, Scotland eight and third-placed Holland six.
