Roma draw with Inter in Serie A classic

Gianluca Mancini's late goal has snatched a 2-2 home draw for Roma with Serie A title rivals Inter Milan.

Mancini headed in the equaliser four minutes from time after goals from Milan Skriniar and Achraf Hakimi appeared to have handed Inter the win.

Lorenzo Pellegrini had scored the opener for Roma.

The result left Inter three points behind Serie A leaders AC Milan while third-placed Roma are another three points adrift.

"Let's not forget that Roma are fighting for the same thing we are," Inter coach Antonio Conte said.

"Going away to the third-place team in the league and playing like this means we're an organised and strong team.

"We had the chance to kill off the game but couldn't manage it, and let Roma back into it late on - because we were out of energy.

"It's a shame because, with a few minutes to go, we were beating a strong side."

Understrength Juventus maintained their challenge for a 10th successive league title with a 3-1 win over 10-man Sassuolo 3-1 to be fourth.

The Bianconeri are just one point behind Roma with a game in hand over the top three sides.

After a goalless first half that ended with a direct red card to Pedro Obiang for a challenge on Federico Chiesa, Danilo gave Juve the lead on 50 minutes while Gregoire Defrel equalised for Sassuolo seven minutes later.

Late goals from Aaron Ramsey and Cristiano Ronaldo secured the points for the hosts.

Juventus played the game without the injured Paulo Dybala and Weston McKennie while Matthijs de Ligt, Alex Sandro and Juan Cuadrado were unavailable after they tested positive for the coronavirus.

In other games on Sunday, Tiemoue Bakayoko headed in a free kick in the final minute to give Napoli a 2-1 win at Udinese.

A defensive howler had seen Kevin Lasagna equalise for Udinese in the 27th to cancel out Lorenzo Insigne's penalty.

Napoli moved to sixth and within nine points of Milan, having played a match less.

At the other end of the table, returning Parma coach Roberto D'Aversa saw his team lose 2-0 at home to Lazio in his first match back in charge.

Parma remained in the relegation zone, two points from safety and three above bottom club Crotone, who lost 2-1 at Verona.

Fiorentina beat Cagliari 1-0 to give coach Cesare Prandelli only his second win since replacing Giuseppe Iachini in November.
