Hundred Draft: Shaheen Shah Afridi and Jess Jonassen signed for Welsh Fire duty in Hundred

Pakistani paceman Shaheen Shah Afridi has been re-signed by Welsh Fire for the 2024 Hundred franchise tournament.

Somerset batter Tom Kohler-Cadmore was the top selection in the £125,000 category, moving from Trent Rockets to replace David Malan.

The Cardiff franchise, who only had three men's picks to make at the draft, also re-signed Nottinghamshire and England fast bowler Jake Ball.

It leaves Chris Cooke as their only Glamorgan player.

Experienced Australian spinner Jess Jonassen heads the Welsh Fire picks in the women's draft.The Brisbane Heat captain replaces Annabel Sutherland in the squad, which retains Hayley Matthens and Shabnim Ismail as the other overseas stars.

Alex Griffiths and Claire Nicholas were re-signed by Welsh Fire in the draft.

Phoebe Franklin and Ella McCaughan are also named in the squad captained again by Tammy Beaumont.

Welsh batter-keeper Seren Smale, 19, moves from Southern Brave to Birmingham Phoenix.

Spinner Sophia Smale, also 19, was earlier retained by Oval Invincibles.
