Charley Hull is three shots off leader Lauren Coughlin on nine under par going into the final round of the Women's Scottish Open at Dundonald Links.
England's Hull produced a third-round 69 that also kept her within two strokes of Coughlin's fellow American Megan Khang, who co-led with Australian Minjee Lee overnight.
German Esther Henseleit is also nine under, alongside Hull, in third place.
Hull's compatriot Georgia Hall holds a share of 14th on two under.
Co-overnight leader Lee is eight under, while Spain's Nuria Iturrioz matched Coughlin's round of 66 and is one of three players in 10th position.
Coughlin picked up birdies at the fourth, seventh and ninth holes and followed that up with three more on her back nine.
The Minnesota native, 31, is bidding for her third professional win and second this year, having triumphed at July's Canadian Open.
Khang made par until the 11th then birdied the 12th, 14th and 17th.
French defending champion Celine Boutier improved on rounds of 74 on Thursday and Friday, but her one-under 71 could only take her to three over overall.
Last year's British Open winner Lilia Vu is five over after a third round of 77.
Dry and sunny conditions are forecast for Sunday's final round in Troon.
