Horner warns of 'incidents' on F1 return

Red Bull team chief Christian Horner has warned drivers will be out of practice and the first few races could see a higher number of clashes than usual when F1 begins its season delayed by the coronavirus outbreak.

"This is probably the longest time all the drivers have been out of a seat," Horner said.

"That could be healthy in a way. If we begin again in July, they will all be rusty as hell and there will be some incidents."

F1 hopes to begin with the Austrian Grand Prix at the Red Bull Ring on July 5 and could stay at the venue for another race a week later.

The first 10 season races have been postponed or cancelled because of the global pandemic.

Initially races will be behind closed doors.
