Home and Away's Rose issues jail warning after major storyline outcome
Home and Away spoilers follow from Australian pace episodes, which some UK viewers may prefer to avoid.
Home and Away's Rose Delaney has warned that Irene Roberts could be facing jail time after her bold decision to help Harper and Dana Matheson.
Rose gave Irene some home truths in Tuesday's Australian episode (September 12) after Harper and Dana's storyline with corrupt policeman Detective Madden had come to a head.
Madden has spent the past few weeks determined to arrest Dana after she was framed for drug offences by her scheming ex-boyfriend Ollie. Madden appeared to have a personal link to the case, jeopardising his own career to keep Ollie out of trouble.
When Dana was on the run, Harper rented a room at Irene's house and helped her sister to hide out there. Irene found out what the siblings were up to, but chose to help them rather than handing them over to the police.

In Tuesday's visit to Summer Bay, Dana faced terrible danger as Madden kidnapped her and tried to kill her, staging the scene to make it look like an accidental drug overdose.
Fortunately, Harper and Dana's other ally Cash Newman stayed one step ahead and managed to rescue Dana before the drugs could fully take hold.
Once Dana regained consciousness at the hospital, she was able to recount her ordeal with Madden and get him arrested.
Although this was a positive outcome, Rose was keen not to celebrate too quickly. She feared potential consequences for her police colleague Cash, who had recklessly broken several rules to help Harper and Dana – albeit for the right reasons.

Rose explained: "I'm just scared for you, Cash. Do you realise how much trouble you could be in right now? If you'd brought Dana in rather than trying to handle this yourself, maybe she wouldn't be in a hospital bed right now."
Later, Rose delivered similar criticisms to Irene, explaining that the Director of Public Prosecutions may still punish her, Cash and Harper for breaking the law, regardless of Dana's innocence.
When Irene asked if the authorities could still pursue a legal case, Rose replied: "Honestly, yeah. And if they do, you could all be looking at jail time."
