Hawthorn defender James Sicily is out of action for one AFL match after pleading guilty to a charge of serious misconduct.

He was referred directly to the tribunal for stepping on North Melbourne's Shaun Atley.

It's a marathon night at the tribunal, with Port Adelaide forward Lindsay Thomas pleading guilty after he was also referred directly for rough conduct and Geelong captain Joel Selwood fighting a striking charge.
