Hamilton Accies 0-4 Motherwell: What the managers said

Hamilton Accies boss Robert Watson:

"Ultimately it has been a very poor first half that has cost us. The second half was a bit of a damp squid but the game is done by that point, it was very unlikely that we were going to come back.

"We need to take responsibility and it is down to us to find a way out. We went for a long time without a win and then got our first win and went on a very good run. We just need to find that again, I don't think the first half is a very good reflection of the team.

"We'd have serious problems if the team were just giving up. I think people might accuse us of our quality throughout the season but no one can accuse us of our endeavour.

"Ultimately we have to find a way to make sure we don't have those moments where we compound goals."

Motherwell manager Paul Brownlie:

"I thought it was a pretty dominant display in the first half. I am really delighted with it.

"To come in at half time with a four goal lead was excellent. We could have, and probably should have scored more but that's football.

"We need to try and build a bit of consistency but it is something we are working hard on and we saw that today."
