New Grand Theft Auto movie debuts with 100% Rotten Tomatoes rating

Grand Theft Hamlet, the new film inspired by the Grand Theft Auto video game series, has debuted with a 100% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

The documentary follows theatre actors Sam Crane and Mark Oosterveen, who find themselves disconsolate and bored in lockdown during the COVID-19 pandemic.

They spend their days in the online digital world of Grand Theft Auto and when they stumble across a theatre, they suddenly have an idea to stage a full production of Hamlet within the game.

The documentary, which was directed by Crane alongside Pinny Grylls, premiered at the South by Southwest (SXSW) festival over the past week, and has so far garnered acclaim, attaining a perfect 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes after its first eight reviews.
