Pro golfer unveils bizarre new putting technique
PGA Tour rookie Bryson DeChambeau had everyone scratching their heads with a very different putting technique at the Franklin Templeton Shootout.
DeChambeau told Golf Digest in October he was working on a side-saddle putting stroke. "It's in development now," DeChambeau said at the time. "I think it's an easier way to putt and could be another game-changer."
And turns out the 23-year-old American wasn't kidding.
During the first round of the tournament in Florida, DeChambeau unveiled the bizarre technique in which he stands front on to the hole and swings his putter beside his body.

It remains to be seen whether the new method is indeed a game changer, but it certainly paid off on the 4th hole when he rolled in a beautiful birdie putt (as you can see in the video above).
DeChambeau and playing partner Lexi Thompson were eighth after the first round after a 62.
Jerry Kelly and Steve Stricker got off to a rousing start, firing an opening round 16-under 56 for a one-stroke lead.
