Glasgow City 2-1 Hearts: What the managers said

Glasgow City boss Leanne Ross: "It’s hugely important that we’ve come away with the three points there.

"We obviously made it a difficult night for ourselves with the sending off and the penalty in the first-half but I think it's given me everything that I need to know about my squad in terms of willingness to go and fight for each other to make sure that we get the three points in that game."

Hearts manager Eva Olid: N"ow the feeling is frustration.

"We had the opportunity to get points and we lost the game. The first half we could have had more of the ball and we didn’t. In the second half we had one more player, had more of the possession and had the opportunities but we didn’t take the opportunities.

"We lost the game. As a manager I take responsibility on that. I had confidence that having possession of the ball we could have scored the goal that we needed but it was not the case.

"The league is so long. This is just the third league game. There’s still a lot of time to play against them [Glasgow City, Rangers & Celtic]. We need to keep working hard, believing, and be ready for the next time."
