GWS star Toby Greene has avoided an AFL suspension despite being charged with striking Fremantle's Reece Conca.
Greene was caught on camera throwing an elbow to Conca's chest in an off-the-ball incident during the final quarter of the Giants' win at Optus Stadium on Saturday.
Conca fell to his knees and appeared to be hurt, but stayed on the field after being checked on by a trainer.
The strike was graded as intentional conduct, low impact and body contact by the match review officer.
Greene was offered a $1000 fine and is free to play in Thursday's crunch clash with Carlton at Metricon Stadium.
Giants teammate Matt de Boer was fined $500 for misconduct against Fremantle skipper and close friend Nat Fyfe, while Dockers forward Matt Taberner ($750) and Giant Lachie Keeffe ($500) were fined for wrestling.
Meanwhile, Melbourne's Charlie Spargo can accept a $1500 sanction for a dangerous tackle on St Kilda's Nick Coffield.
The incident was graded as careless conduct, low impact and high contact.
It follows a similar incident earlier in August, when Spargo was fined for a dangerous tackle on Collingwood's John Noble.
