Kurt Tippett and Adelaide's salary cap scandal

Kurt Tippett faced an uncertain summer after Adelaide revealed it had paid the forward money outside the salary cap. The club were found to have entered a secret agreement with Tippett not submitted to the AFL that guaranteed sponsor income. Tippett was banned half a season for his part in the fiasco, while Adelaide was been fined $300,000 and prohibited from the first two rounds of the 2013 draft and from gaining father-son picks at that draft.
