Move over Rafa: Female star shows off insane biceps at French Open

Rafael Nadal appears to have a challenger for biggest biceps in world tennis.

Rafa, meet 28-year-old Russian Vitalia Diatchenko, who caught everyone’s attention at the French Open on Monday against Serena Williams.

Diatchenko momentarily stunned the tennis world when she took the first set off the 23-time grand slam champion 6-2.

However she couldn’t go on with it, eventually falling 6-1 and 6-0 in the final two sets.

Against arguably the most powerful hitter in the history of women’s tennis, Diatchenko fought fire with fire, producing some huge groundstrokes that left Serena swinging at fresh air.

And one photo of Diatchenko in action reveals where she gets all that power from.

While her arms look quite skinny when she’s relaxed, their true form come to life during her shots.

As you can see, the young Russian is wielding some serious guns.

‘Need to go and practice’

Serena committed 14 unforced errors in the first set before taking control, winning 73 percent of points on her first serve.

She committed just 10 unforced errors over the final two sets in a match that lasted 90 minutes.

"There is always a lot of fear for a first-round match," Williams said, via BBC Sport.

"I made lots of mistakes in the first set and I just said, 'Good luck, Serena.'

“I was strong after that. Now I feel like I need to go and practice."
