Frank on injuries, Toney's future and 'going in the right direction'

Thomas Frank has been speaking to the media before the Bees trip to Wolves in the Premier League on Saturday.

Here are the key lines from his news conference:

  • Frank confirmed Saman Ghoddos "should be available" after his nation Iran were knocked out of the Asian Cup semi-finals and that "the other players that were out are still out."

  • He also confirmed injury-plagued Josh Dasilva has suffered a serious knee injury in training, adding: "It's very sad - I feel for Josh massively. He has been very unlucky."

  • On his comments in the Danish media suggesting Ivan Toney is likely to leave the club in the summer: "It's the same message I said the whole time. I would love him to stay forever, but the reality is he has one year left on his contract in the summer."

  • More on Toney: "I think he's been pretty open about maybe playing for a top club in the future, so I think there are a couple of scenarios; he leaves in the summer, leaves in the winter or he stays."

  • Frank said he is "aware that the stats on paper are not great" after only one win in 10 Premier League games but "the last three (performances) have been very positive."

  • On the Bees' form: "We are conceding too many goals in my opinion. We need to look into what we can do to avoiding conceding goals. We are going in the right direction."
