Reigning Super League champions Wigan Warriors did just about enough as they beat Hull FC to consolidate second spot in Super League - and move back level on points with leaders Hull KR.
The hosts atoned for their shock defeat on Humberside in late July as they ran in four tries.
Wigan looked in complete control when, following young winger Jacob Douglas's eight-minute try - played in by Jai Field - home centre Zach Eckersley followed him over to earn a 10-0 lead.
Jed Cartwright's try got the visitors right back into it - and they remained within a score for a long spell before Junior Nsemba and Jack Farrimond wrapped up the win for the hosts.
Wigan took until the 55th minute to stretch their lead when Adam Keighran played a neat reverse pass inside for Warriors forward Nsemba to carve through the tiring Hull back line.
A well-worked switchback move down the right created the gap for Farrimond to grab his fourth try of the season.
