    Mauricio Pochettino says Enzo Fernandez will not be Chelsea captain until his English improves. Conor Gallagher was handed the armband for last week's 0-0 draw at Bournemouth, with first-choice Reece James out injured and vice-captain Ben Chilwell starting on the bench, as he did against AFC Wimbledon in the Carabao Cup. It was a surprise given the midfielder was available to sale during the summer and that Thiago Silva, and has previously skippered Chelsea, was on the pitch at the same time.

    Former Arsenal striker Folarin Balogun endured a nightmare full debut for Monaco as he missed TWO penalties in a 1-0 defeat to Nice. Balogun has been used off the bench since joining from the Gunners in a deal worth up to £34million, scoring once in two substitute appearances, before being named in the starting line-up on Friday night. The 22-year-old American scored a remarkable 21 goals for Reims last season but that form was nowhere to be seen at the Louis II Stadium as he joined a rare group of players to miss two penalties in one game.
