Much-improved Blues claim a morale-boosting derby win amid yet more injury concerns for Mauricio Pochettino
Just as with the last time he faced Fulham, Mykhailo Mudryk lasted only 45 minutes. But what a world of difference this outstanding performance was from that unhappy appearance in February as the winger finally scored his first goal for Chelsea and gave a glimpse of a promising future at the beleaguered club.
Fulham fell two places below Chelsea in the Premier League table despite starting the day three spots above them, as they were defeated 2-0 by the Blues at Craven Cottage. Two goals in two minutes, scored by Mykhailo Mudryk and Armando Broja, meant Fulham had a mountain to climb after just 20 minutes of action on Monday night. Despite an improved second-half display in which they kept possession much better, their first-half defensive errors cost them dearly as Chelsea held on for victory.
