Juventus, A-League All Stars match date leaked online

An accidental online leak has led to further speculation that a date next year has been locked in for a special exhibition match between Italian football giants, Juventus, and the A-League All Stars.

On Thursday screenshots of an advertisement featuring Juventus stars promoting the enticing football showcase went viral on social media.

Despite Football Federation Australia vehemently denying that an exact date had been confirmed for Juventus’ visit to Australia, the advertisement sponsored by Destination NSW claims the match would take place on August 10, 2014 at ANZ Stadium in Sydney.

Since October there have been whispers about the match following the success of this year’s A-League All Stars fixture against English Premier League Champions Manchester United in July.

Juventus will be coming to Australia in August, Fairfax report, however an exact date and location for their match has not yet been agreed upon by the football club, FFA and the NSW government.

The ad banners were reportedly a part of a mock design for promoting the event, made by a company hired by FFA who are believed to be the source of the leak.

With the pull of former Juventus captain and now Sydney FC striker, Alessandro Del Piero, all parties are confident of securing the Serie A champions.
