Milicic leaves Melbourne Heart for Western Sydney May 22, 2012, 9:05 pm

Official release from Melbourne Heart

Melbourne Heart FC confirms Assistant Coach Ante Milicic will depart the Club to assume a post with the New Sydney Club representing western Sydney in the Hyundai A-League next season.

As a founding member of the Heart coaching panel, Milicic played a pivotal role in the Club's development over its first two seasons in the Hyundai A-League, aiding in recruitment and establishing a now well-defined on-field philosophy.

Chief Executive Officer Scott Munn thanked Milicic for his immense contribution to the Club and wished him well in his return to Sydney.

"Ante had a substantial role in the establishment of our playing roster and implementation of the playing style and philosophy which is now our trademark," Munn said.

"While obviously disappointed to see Ante leave, we understand the significance of the opportunity which presented itself in helping establish a team in his home town.

"We thank him for his contribution to Melbourne Heart FC and wish him well for the future."
