Palace play down link with Leeds striker McCormack

Crystal Palace boss Dougie Freedman has cooled any reports linking him to striker Ross McCormack at Championship rivals Leeds United.

"Ross is a fantastic player and I do know him quite well, but it might be a little far-fetched to suggest anything," the Eagles manager told the Croydon Advertiser.

"You are never close to a deal until a player puts pen to paper, but we are active in trying to do one or two deals.

"But we have got a bit more integrity in how we do stuff than to discuss it through the papers and we will do our business in the right way."
