Stoke City youngster Matthew Lund has joined Hereford United on a month's loan.

The 20-year-old midfielder has agreed terms with Hereford's caretaker manager Jamie Pitman over the move to Edgar Street and will be in to make his debut for them in the FA Cup second round tie against Lincoln City on Saturday.

Lund has been a regular in City's reserve side since he joined the Club from Crewe in a double deal involving winger Ben Marshall.

"This will be a good chance for Matty to gain his first experience of playing regular first team football at this level and it is important he gets such an opportunity now to further his development," explained manager Tony Pulis.
