Defending champions Aizawl FC and DSK Shivajians recorded victories in their final group clashes in the Nike Premier Cup on Saturday.

The National Finals of the popular U15 Youth League, organised by the All India Football Federation (AIFF), is being held in Goa from 29th January with 16 teams, divided into four groups, participating. 

Let's see how Groups B & D played out on Friday.




GROUP B:




Going into the day, Aizawl FC and Reliance Foundation Young Champs (RFYC) were locked at the top with four points each.

In the first match of the day at the Utorda Sports Complex, Aizawl FC pummelled Bhaichung Bhutia Football Schools 5-0. Lal Famkima was the hero with a hat-trick for the Mizoram-based side while Lal Ruatpuia and Malsawmtluanga Pautu also scored a goal each. 

In the second game of the day, RFYC comprehensively defeated Real Kashmir with a 5-1 scoreline. Aritra Das scored twice while Thoi Singh, Muhammed Nemil Valiyattil and Zidan Singh Ningthoujam also found the net for RFYC. Mohammad Arslan scored the consolation for the Kashmir-based team.

GROUP D: 




Nike Premier Cup; DSK Shivajians v East Bengal

DSK Shivajians won Group D after defeating East Bengal 2-1 and consigning the Red and Golds to the second spot in the group. 

The first game of the day at the Nagoa ground saw Raman Vijayan Soccer School defeat SAG Football Academy 7-3. Vasishta R and Solaimalai R scored twice while goals from Munthasir Anwar, Kamalesh P and an own goal from Yeshraj Sushil Kumar Patil saw Raman Vijayan Soccer School score seven times. For SAG Academy, Poonia Sushant Ramesh, Sagar Ballu Bahadur Saud and Firoz Samim Ansari found the net. 

In the afternoon game, DSK Shivajians scripted a come-from-behind victory to down East Bengal. DSK's Zamlunmang and Lienlalmuon Lienlalmuon scored late on to negate Hasan Ali Molla's opener for East Bengal.
