ISL 2017: Can Iain Hume break his duck against Chennaiyin FC?

Iain Hume has played a total of 144 minutes in season four of the Indian Super League (ISL) and is yet to score his first goal. The Canadian striker started in their first two home matches against ATK and Jamshedpur FC which ended in a dull 0-0 score-line.

In the draw against Mumbai City FC, Hume came off the bench for the final 20 minutes or so. However, he picked up a minor injury and hence, couldn’t participate in their first away game of the season in Goa where they were trounced 5-2.

However, the former Barnsley striker did make a brief appearance in their 1-0 win over NorthEast United.

Next up for the Sachin Tendulkar co-owned outfit is an away fixture against Chennaiyin FC, a venue where they have never managed to pick three points, although it was at the Marina Arena where they qualified in the first ISL edition’s final.

It must be noted that Hume has scored in each of the last three seasons against Chennaiyin FC. The 34-year-old has a special liking for the Super Machans.

He has scored a total of five goals, including a penalty, against the Abhishek Bachchan co-owned side.

Can Hume get back to scoring ways in the ISL when Kerala Blasters face Chennaiyin FC on December 22nd?
