Germany has a message for Mexico following World Cup draw

After locking down a World Cup spot months ago, Mexico players had been patiently waiting for Friday's World Cup draw to determine their path in Russia next summer.

El Tri were placed in Group F alongside world-champion Germany, Sweden and South Korea. A potential second-place finish in the group would mean a date with Brazil in the round of 16, which would make it quite difficult for them to advance to the quarterfinals for the first time in the competition outside of Mexico.

To avoid that scenario, Mexico will likely need to knock off Germany. It will be no easy task, and Die Mannschaft's English-language account already has reminded the North Americans what happened last time they met during the Confederations Cup - a 4-1 win during the semifinals.

But Mexico is certainly coming in confident. El Tri's Twitter account assured their fans that they're not afraid of anyone.

Mexico star Javier "Chicharito" Hernandez is eager to get rolling after watching the draw results unfold. The former Bayer Leverkusen star sent out a tweet that says he's going into the tournament "with everything, for everything."

Chivas center back Oswaldo Alanis is not a lock on the Mexico roster, but at least one player who looks like him should be on the field for the opening match of Group F. Alanis and German defender Mats Hummels have struck up a friendship after fans on social media kept pointing out their similar looks.

Mexico goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa is simply ready to square off with Germany No. 1 Marc-Andre ter Stegen, sending a message to the Barcelona goalkeeper that he'll see him in Russia. Meanwhile Carlos Salcedo is looking forward to facing some of the players he plays with and against in the Bundesliga
