Defender gifts opposition victory with comical blunder

BSC Young Boys defender Kasim Adams Nuhu has added his name to the list of recent own-goal nightmares.

Young Boys were locked at 0-0 in injury time in their Champions League qualifier against CSKA on Wednesday when Adams had a brain fade.

The defender was attempting to header back to his keeper when he flubbed his first attempt and had to try again.

However the second attempt went flying over his keeper's head and dribbled into his own net for the winning goal.

"It's an own goal out of absolutey nothing!" one commentator exclaimed. "What a nightmare!"

Elsewhere, Liverpool were on the receiving end of an own-goal as they snuck past Hoffenheim.

It's the latest in a series of recent own-goal howlers.
