Dogo: Nasarawa United still good for top three

Nasarawa United coach, Kabiru Dogo says they are going to face FC Ifeanyiubah with hopes of securing a positive result to brighten their chances of a continental spot.

The Lafia side have won three of their previous four games which include a win away at Sunshine Stars last month.

“We don’t want to talk about our last encounter again with Niger Tornadoes. They gave us a good fight but we thank God we were able to get the job done. We are now focusing on the league tie with FC IfeanyiUbah,” Dogo told Goal.

“We saw what they did when we played against them in Lafia and I am sure they are much better side now with the players that came in during the mid-season transfer. We will prepare very well for the match and will be hoping to return with a good result.

“I will continue to say that nothing has been settled regarding the teams that will qualify for the CAF interclub competitions next season. We are very certain that we are going to pick one of the three tickets and taking points off FC Ifeanyiubah will help us.”

Nasarawa United are sixth in the league table with 47 points from 32 games.
