Aklechi less bothered by Lobi Stars' position

Sunday Akleche says he is less bothered by the position occupied by Lobi Stars in the Nigerian topflight log.

Having lost 1-0 to Wikki Tourists on Wednesday, the Pride of Benue lost ground on league leaders, Plateau United.

However, despite the nine-point gap separating the Ortom Boys from the Peace Boys, Akleche insists there is more than enough time for the Makurdi-based outfit to overhaul the deficit.

"It's a long season and the teams above us will drop points at some stage so it's up to us to then hopefully pick up some more," Akleche told Goal.

"We have to be satisfied with what we've picked up so far. You can't worry too much about what other teams are doing.

"We've only lost eight league game and have won 11 before Wednesday so there is no need getting too bothered about the setback we encountered against Wikki Tourists."

Next up for Lobi Stars is a home clash with Enugu Rangers on Sunday afternoon.
