Orlando Pirates are reportedly eager to retain the services of SuperSport United forward Dove Wome.

The Togo international moved to the Buccaneers from Matsatsantsa on a short-term loan deal midway through the 2016/17 season.

Since joining Pirates, Wome has made 16 appearances in all competitions and he also scored four goals - helping Bucs reach the 2017 Nedbank Cup final in the process.

According to a Isolezwe source, the Buccaneers are keen to sign Wome on a permanent deal.

“The numbers speak for themselves," the source told Isolezwe.

"He [Wome] has done well since joining Pirates, and would like to stay with them,” the source added.

“The only thing that the two clubs still need to discuss is the money that Pirates has to pay SuperSport to have Dove Wome permanently,” the source concluded.

The Buccaneers and Matsatsantsa will lock horns in the Nedbank Cup final at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban on Saturday, 24 June.
