'Shooting Stars belong to the NPFL' - Faleye upbeat about survival chances

Sunday Faleye believes Shooting Stars will avoid relegation despite their current position in the Nigeria Professional Football League log.

The Oluyole Warriors sit 16th in the topflight table due to their uninspiring run in the first half of the season.

And with the second round of the campaign yet to start, Faleye is optimistic about the Ibadan side's chances of surviving the drop.

"We will not suffer relegation despite occupying 16th position in the table. The team is really trying to improve. With the little time, we will sit up and get points. Shooting Stars belong to the NPFL," Faleye told Goal.

"The first 19 games have come and gone, we are looking to the future, that is, the games ahead.

"We can fight and move up the table. We have 19 more games to play. We just have to focus and go all out. All we need to do is get our mindset and prepare for the rest of the games," he concluded.
