Kedah winger Baddrol Bakhtiar wants Kedah to learn from their two previous defeats, ahead of their first leg semi-final FA Cup match against Terengganu this Sunday.

One-time Super League (MSL) leaders Kedah, who previously were the only undefeated MSL side in all competitions this season, were hammered by T-Team 5-0 in a league match on April 15, before they fell to a 1-0 defeat to Premier League side PKNP FC in their second leg FA Cup quarter-final match.

Fortunately for Tan Cheng Hoe's men, they had won the first leg match 6-1, and advanced to the semis despite the defeat to PKNP. However, they are now in a four-match winless streak in all competitions, with two draws in the league sandwiching the defeats.

"The two defeats must serve as a wake up call to all my teammates so that we will improve and play to our real abilities like we did before,"

"We want to bounce back.. with spirit, and the opportunity to qualify to the semi-finals of the FA Cup should boost our motivation, and we must take advantage of this opportunity to the fullest," he told Berita Harian.

He added that the Red Eagles can defeat the Turtles by being more clinical in front of the goal.

"I hope we will be more clinical in front of the goal, and we certainly need to be more focused and concentrate harder, as the FA Cup semi-final match will definitely be a lot closer.

"The chemistry shown by the forwards has given us confidence as they've made many attempts, although they could not convert them.

"My teammates have also played with more passion last Wednesday against Perak, as compared to before," explained the Malaysia international.
