KPL Round up: Bandari, Sofapaka win big

Bandari and Sofapaka were the biggest winners of all the five Kenyan Premier League matches played at various venues on Sunday.

Bandari beat Thika United 3-0 at Mbaraki Sports club with former Gor Mahia striker Dan Sserunkuma hitting the net twice and Darius Msagha once to hand the Dockers that sweet victory.

The result has moved the Paul Nkata coached side to position two on the league table with 10 points, two behind leaders Gor Mahia.

At Kericho Green Stadium, Sofapaka beat Zoo Kericho 3-0 to deny the hosts chance of recording their first points. Ezekiel Okare scored in the 3rd minute before Paul Odhiambo scored three minutes later and completed his brace in the 60th minute. The Batato ba Mungu have also garnered 10 points from five matches so far.

Newbies Nzoia Sugar overcame Kakamega Homeboyz 2-1 at Mumias Sports complex with Lawrence Juma and former AFC Leopards defender Edwin Wafula being on target for the visitors. Kakamega Homeboyz got their consolation from Charles Momanyi.

Western Stima and Chemelil Sugar registered a 0-0 draw at Thika Sub-county stadium while AFC Leopards bagged all points against Muhoroni Youth courtesy of midfielder Allan Kateregga at Mbaraki Sports club.
