Shimanyula: Muhoroni Youth chairman is a goon

Kakamega Homeboyz chairman Cleophas Shimanyula has registered his disappointment in Muhoroni Youth boss Moses Adagala after the teams clashed on Sunday at Mumias Complex.

The tensed match saw Homeboyz walk home with all points after former Muhoroni Youth striker Wycliffe Ochomo converted from the spot in the 88th minute but Shimanyula is not happy with what happened thereafter.

Olunga grateful after lifting Harambee Stars

He says Adagala incited fans and entered with them into the pitch to disrupt the proceedings in protest of the goal, a move which saw the match prematurely end.

“Adagala did an unimaginable thing yesterday. A whole club chairman walked right into the field to interfere with the game. Where on earth does that happen?

“I now understand why his players cried of injustice last year. This man is a goon. This man can even harm players. This man should not be anywhere near Kenya’s football. He should not even be allowed to be a leader of any kind; be it political or whatsoever.

Harambee Stars now sure of beating every opponent

“Muhoroni Stadium, his home field should not be marked for matches because you can never be sure what you’re going to meet as an opponent while there. I think something has to be done,” he told Goal.

Kenyan Premier League have confirmed that the Ochomo goal counted according to standings released today pushing Kakamega Homeboyz to position five behind Mathare United, Chemelil Sugar, Nzoia Sugar and Gor Mahia in that order.

Elsewhere, Sofapaka also hit Western Stima 3-1 in a match played at Moi Stadium, Kisumu on the same day with Charles Okwemba, Humphrey Okoti and Ezekiel Okare being on target for the Batoto ba Mungu. Fredrick Nyarombo scored Western Stima’s consolation.
