Zlatan humble as ever in hilarious post-match interview

Zlatan Ibrahimovic gave another hilariously self-absorbed interview after Manchester United's EFL Cup triumph over Southampton.

The United sharp-shooter struck twice in the thrilling 3-2 win against the Saints, including a late match-winning goal at Wembley.

United had taken a 2-0 lead with Ibrahimovic's free kick and Jesse Lingard's shot but Southampton striker Manolo Gabbiadini's double either side of halftime breathed life into the showpiece match.

With extra time looming the Swede nodded Ander Herrera's cross past goalkeeper Fraser Forster to score his 26th goal of the season in all competitions and secure Jose Mourinho's first trophy since the Portuguese coach took charge.

He then backed up the performance with another memorable post-match interview, which again highlighted the big Swede's abundant confidence in his own ability.

Ibrahimovic started off modestly when asked if he was the best free signing in Manchester United's history.

"Nah. I dunno, I don't look at it like that. I got a call from Jose Mourinho, look I got a good relationship with him and when he called that's the reason I came," Ibrahimovic said.

"I'm super happy I came because I know I made the right choice. I predicted things and what I predicted is what I'm doing now and what I will still continue to do."

It was an unusually humble response but the United man's notoriously cocky nature returned when asked if he thought the victory signaled the start of something special at the club.

"I came, that's special."

Classic Zlatan.
