WAG slams Van Persie after friendship-ending antics
Robin Van Persie has copped a furious spray from the wife of a player he got sent off during a fiery Turkish Cup match.
The former Arsenal and Manchester United star played the ultimate super-villain in Fenerbahce's 1-0 win over Besiktas in the round of 16 Cup tie.
The first incident of controversy came when Van Persie took a dive to get Dusko Tosic sent off before halftime, after the Besiktas player got in his face to protest the Dutchman's play-acting.
Tosic's wife Jelena Karleuša, a popular singer in the couple's native Serbia, took to social media after the match to direct an abusive tweet Van Persie's way.
It read: "R. van Persie is one stupid motherf*****. Brake (sic) a leg a******!"
The expletive-laden post was later deleted.
"Dusko asked me to remove my tweet about Persie, and I did," Karleuša later clarified.
"What can I say, I don't like dirty players. Kisses to all Besiktas fans!"

Van Persie's actions also infuriated former Arsenal teammate, Oguzhan Ozyakup, who had a running battle with the Dutchman for the remainder of the match.
The hostility between the pair reached a crescendo in the second half when Van Persie scored the winning goal, and ran over to Ozyakup to rub it in the Besiktas captain's face.
Ozyakup revealed the whole sorry saga had ruined the close bond the two men once shared with one another.
"I have a lot to say about the incidents on the field," Ozyakup said.
"But I won't say them.
"Just one thing... I was very good friends with a certain player on the field.
"That changed today. Sometimes you see the real face of a footballer on the field."
