Neymar burns defender after comical plea for mercy

A defender in a Brazilian charity game has resorted to begging in a desperate attempt to stop Neymar from absolutely owning him.

The hilarious moment came during the match organised by Neymar and Robinho, in honour of the victims of the plane crash that killed 19 members of the Chapecoense football club.

Neymar and his teammates played in the colours of Colombia, while Robinho's side donned the green and white of Chape during the match in Sao Paulo.

Neymar had been terrorising the opposition throughout the game, so one of the defenders dropped to his knees and pleaded with the Brazil star to go easy on him at one point.

The Barcelona forward made a gesture to the player as if to assure him that he wouldn’t embarrass the defender, but then proceeded to do just that.

Neymar shimmied one way and bamboozled the player with a lightning-fast step-over, before gliding effortlessly past him and putting in a cross.

Fortunately for the defender, that attack didn’t result in a goal but the Brazil forward did manage to find the back of the net four times.

Aside from Neymar and Robinho, the match included a who’s who of current and former Brazilian sports stars, including former Real Madrid player Kaka and F1 driver Felipe Massa.
