Two sent off as Greek player gets caught with pants down

Two football players were given their marching orders and one was left with his pants down after a bizarre incident in a World Cup qualifier.

The comical scenes came in the final 15 minutes of the clash between Bosnia and Greece, following a scuffle between Edin Dzeko and Sokratis Papastathopoulos.

Both players were tussling for possession of the football when Dzeko went down under a challenge from his Greek opponent.

The referee blew his whistle but with Sokratis still standing over him, Dzeko decided to try and ‘dack’ the defender by tugging at his shorts.

The Bosnian striker only managed to pull the Greek player’s shorts down a fraction, but he had more success after a second attempt.

Sokratis then suffered the added indignity of being pushed over with his shorts around his ankles, and with no way of balancing himself.

It sparked a melee of pushing and shoving that eventually resulted in red cards to Dzeko and Greece’s Kyriakos Papadopoulos.

Bosnia were 1-0 up at the time but the Greek’s managed to snatch a point courtesy of a dramatic late equaliser.
