Ozil wonder goal books Arsenal's spot in last 16

A late piece of wizardry from Mesut Ozil has capped off a thrilling comeback win for Arsenal in their Champions League clash with Ludogorets.

With Group A rivals Paris St Germain beating Basle in Switzerland, Arsenal knew a win would have been enough to see them through to the knockout stages with two games to spare.

And it took a moment of pure quality from Ozil in the 87th minute to book the Gunners' passage into the last 16 of the competition.

The German international latched onto a threw ball and dinked it over the Ludogorets goalkeeper to himself, before rounding two more defenders and firing the ball into the back of the net.

It was a remarkable solo effort from the Gunners midfielder that capped off a stunning comeback for Arsene Wenger's side.

Ludogorets were two goals ahead inside the opening 15 minutes as Jonathan Cafu and Claudiu Keseru struck.

But a first Champions League goal for Granit Xhaka and a header from Olivier Giroud before the break had Arsenal level and Ozil's late heroics mean they have qualified from the opening group stage for a 17th consecutive season.
