Is this the best team goal of the season?

Las Palmas midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng has capped off what will undoubtedly be a leading contender for ‘team goal of the season,’ during a La Liga clash against Villareal.

The exquisite build-up to the goal had a little bit of everything from intricate passing, to an outrageous back-heeled assist, and rounded off with a stunning scissor-kick finish.

Almost every member of the Las Palmas team touched the ball before it ended up in the back of the net, during a passage of play that wouldn’t have looked out of place in Barcelona.

Perhaps the only thing more astonishing than the finish was the final pass from Tana, whose volleyed back-heel assist was met by Boateng’s sumptuous aerial strike.

Although it will take something truly incredible to top this team goal from Las Palmas, it ended up counting for nothing as Villareal came from behind to seal a 2-1 win.
