City debutant scores brilliant bicycle goal in FFA Cup

It took Danish international Michael Jakobsen just 90 seconds to make his mark for Melbourne City, scoring a stunning overhead goal to kick off his run-on debut in spectacular fashion.

City put four goals past the Wanderers in their FFA Cup quarter final on Wednesday night, and Jakobsen began the rout in emphatic fashion.

The Danish defender slammed an overhead kick past goalkeeper Andrew Redmayne and Wanderers' new signing Artiz Borta on the line.

"We thought it was Bruno," coach John van 't Schip laughed.

"For us it's more important that (Jakobsen) was organising and taking care of the defence. He had a good game."
