Argentina striker suffers gruesome injury in frightening fall
Argentina's Ezequiel Lavezzi has broken his elbow after flipping backwards over some advertising boards in the Copa America semis.
The striker was chasing the ball towards the sideline in the second half of Argentina's 4-0 win over USA when he leaped backwards and clattered into the hoarding.
Teammates immediately signaled to the sideline for help, with cameras capturing a gruesome elbow injury.
The 31-year-old was immediately taken to hospital and is set to undergo surgery.
Lavezzi scored the first goal of the game as his side ran out 4-0 winners.
