Football fans set fire to stadium after team's relegation

Fans of Turkish Super Lig club Eskisehirspor did not take being relegated particularly well, trashing their home stadium.

Following the final whistle against Medipol Basaksehir, fans invaded the pitch and overturned the goals before turning their attention to the ageing stadium.

Three fans were reportedly injured and hospitalised after suffering minor injuries as a result of fire and smoke inhalation.

Eskisehirspor had already finalised plans to move to a newly-built 33,000-seat stadium next season.
