How did this awful Suarez challenge go unnoticed?

Luis Suarez bagged a double to seal Barcelona's first leg victory over Atletico, but he probably shouldn't even have been on the pitch.

In the first-half, Suarez lashed out at Ateltico's Juanfran with a late kick, but it went unnoticed by German referee Felix Brych.

Suarez went on to pick up a yellow card in the second period for a confrontation with Felipe Luis, which would have seen him receive his marching orders had he already been on a yellow.

The fiery striker then broke Atletico hearts with two late goals as Barcelona overcame Fernando Torres' early strike.

Torres' endured a horror 10 minutes of madness in the first half, opening the scoring before being red carded after just 34 minutes.

After the game, Luis, the former Chelsea defender, erupted:

"The sending off is totally unjust and changed the game.

"Barcelona are protected. When you play against them you realise that they are a very powerful club.

"You realise the fear when Barcelona could get knocked out. It would hurt UEFA a lot."
