Spanish footballer pulls off shocking dive

A Spanish youngster has jumped straight to the top of the list for the worst dives in football history.

The Valencia under-19 team were playing Celtic in the UEFA Youth League when he went down under a non-existent challenge.

Tracking back to cover a long ball, David Pascual tried to bring the ball under control but failed before shockingly leaping to the ground.

The referee fell for his antics as he awarded the defender a free-kick.

For the record, Valencia went on to win the match 4-3 on penalties.
