Fabio Cannavaro's tribute to Steven Gerrard goes very, very wrong
Italian World Cup winner Fabio Cannavaro paid tribute to departing Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard on Facebook... by posting a picture of rival Frank Lampard.
Gerrard made his final appearance at Anfield in the 3-1 defeat to Crystal Palace on Saturday and Cannavaro added his own statement to the masses of others with a post on Facebook.
The former Parma, Inter, Juventus and Real Madrid defender, who captained Italy to the World Cup in 2006, posted a picture and a variety of hashtags on his Facebook page as a gesture of respect to the former England captain.
Unfortunately, the picture was not of Gerrard, as intended, but of his long-time Chelsea and Manchester City rival Frank Lampard.
