Man Utd, Man City alerted as Bale agent admits Spurs issues

The agent of Gareth Bale admits he's unsettled by the failure of Tottenham to qualify for the Champions League.

Jonathan Barnett acknowledges that the lack of Champions League football on offer at White Hart Lane could be an issue.

"Yes, it is clear that this is a problem," said Barnett in Sport.

"The big European clubs already know how much it would take to do the operation and therefore if you are interested you know what kind of offer has to be put on the table."

Manchester City and Manchester United could move for Bale, particularly with Harry Redknapp now having left.
