James Milner believes the Manchester City and Chelsea contingent could help England's chances at this summer's Euros.

The City midfielder is preparing with the Three Lions squad for the upcoming European tournament in Poland and Ukraine and suggests the sky-high confidence of the likes of Joe Hart, Joleon Lescott, Gareth Barry, Frank Lampard, Ashley Cole and Gary Cahill from Premier League and Champions League titles could be key.

"Our players are going into the tournament on a high and high on confidence and that's what you want," he said.

"You want to get into those habits of winning trophies and that winning mentality and if players have had the taste and had a good season it's only a good thing for us as a team.

"Both occasions were pretty special - lots of tension and ups and downs during the games and that's the beauty of football.

"It's a couple of great achievements and the confidence that you get from winning trophies can only be a good thing."
