AC Milan coach Massimilano Allegri insists star pair Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva will stay.

A visit from Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini yesterday has set tongue wagging.

But Allegri insists: "Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva will remain.

"The club and above all the president wants the team to maintain this high level. Ibrahimovic and Thiago are two players which Milan can build the foundations for the future. I want to train champions.

"Pato? Next season will be important for him."

On his relationship with Ibrahimovic, Allegri denied claims of a rift.

"He is no stomach ache. He is happy with the Rossoneri. During the year we can have discussions and exchange ideas with everyone. He's a player, I want to train champions."
