Football club's X-rated half-time entertainment blunder
Bristol Rovers fans got way more than they bargained for when ‘Babestation’ was aired at half-time during their Carabao Cup tie with Crawley Town recently.
Supporters heading into the club bar for some refreshments at the interval were stunned to see the X-rated TV channel on the big screen at the Memorial Ground.
Hundreds of fans, including some children, were exposed to the adult scenes.
Rovers have since released a statement to address the incident and confirmed it will be conducting a thorough investigation.
The statement read: “The club believes that someone that was attending in the bar was using a universal remote device to affect the TV output.
“The matter will be fully investigated. However, the club believes that they have photographic evidence of the individual concerned and they will be dealt with appropriately.”
Kyle Bennett and Ollie Clarke got the goals to give Rovers victory and seal a spot in the second round of the competition.
However, some will be wondering how many fans emerged from the bars for the second half as they took to social media to tweet videos and pictures of the TV mishap.
