Our Flag Means Death has released the trailer for its second season, teasing the fallout from a harsh breakup for Stede Bonnet and Ed Teach.
The show will return to Max on October 5 for an eight-part sophomore season, with the action-packed trailer teasing some animosity between the leading pair as Ed interrupts Stede's wedding day.
The synopsis for the second season reads: "After trading the seemingly charmed life of a gentleman for one of a swashbuckling buccaneer, Stede became captain of the pirate ship Revenge.

To their surprise, the wildly different Stede and Blackbeard found more than friendship on the high seas… they found love. Now, they have to survive it."
The season will premiere on the aforementioned date with three episodes, before being followed by two more instalments the following week. A further two parts will air on October 19, with the finale airing a week later.
In addition to Darby and Waititi, the cast for the series includes Ewen Bremner, Con O'Neill, Joel Fry, Samson Kayo, Nathan Foad and Rory Kinnear, with series creator David Jenkins directing the first two episodes of the second season.
"We felt the show was special while we were making it, but fans' open-armed embrace of the inhabitants of the Revenge makes heading into a second season all the more sweet," said Jenkins of the second season.
"Thanks to our team at HBO Max, our invested executive producers, and our wildly enthusiastic audience for making another voyage to this world possible."
